To begin with I ran to lose weight and tone up but soon I began to run for the sheer enjoyment and freedom of getting from one place to another under my own steam! Next I ran 5k and 10k races, moving on to half marathons and the London Marathon in 2009.
The increased confidence and strength I gained from striving to be better than myself has made me keen to inspire other women to achieve their fitness goals.
I know that, even if you have never run for a bus, you can make running a part of your life. I know because I've done it!
I set up See How She Runs in January 2014 and the group has gone from strength to strength. I feel privileged to run with such a wonderful, inspiring group of women with a wide range of running abilities.
